THE BRIDGE OF LIFE

Thomas, my Dad

~10-02-1919~02-27-2008~

It seems like only yesterday you

wiped away my tears

But when Mama left this world

your sadness you kept near

What happened, where are you

I didn't want you to go

I thought you were getting

better

But yesterday would hold a NO

I saw you getting tired of the pain

you were put through

I knew you didn't want this

life

and there was nothing I

could do

But when you make promises to others

even though it will bring you pain

You kept your word to Mama

and your years did wane

I am grateful for the time

that I spent with you

I am grateful that we shared

smiles that's how

I will remember you

I thought you would stay forever

seems you always were there

Even when you got old and

tired

you took away the cares

I see you with Mama , Ronnie and all

the rest

I can see that smile on your face

because you are at rest

Tell them all I miss them and look

forward to the day

when I can see you all again

and spend forever and a day

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the LOVE OF GOD, which is in JESUS CHRIST our LORD." Romans 8:38-39

GODS WORDS AND LOVE

Words cannot express the deep feelings that well up within, my prayers for strength and peace are with you. May you find comfort in these words, "Weep, but briefly, for your loved ones as they enter into the Kingdom of God, For they shall possess a joy and peace that is unattainable on God's earthly realm. Rather, rejoice in their everlasting and total happiness ~ For their eyes have seen God!!" Love, hugs, & prayers ~

My deepest sympathies with the loss from your precious Dad
May the Lord give you Heather and the family Peace and Comfort
in this sad time of loss.

The Cross ...

Whatever your cross,
whatever your pain,
There will always be sunshine,
after the rain ....
Perhaps you may stumble,
perhaps even fall,
But God's always ready,
To answer your call ...
He knows every heartache,
sees every tear,
A word from His lips,
can calm every fear ...
Your sorrows may linger,
throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish,
dawn's early light ...
The Savior is waiting,
somewhere above,
To give you His grace,
and send you His love ...
Whatever your cross,
whatever your pain,

"God always sends rainbows ... after the rain ... "
Know that I am here for you when you need me

Dear Heather I am so sorry for the loss of your dad

may God bless and comfort you in this time..

We'll Meet Again Come Dawn

Today a shadow crossed our path
It took the form of death
Death's angel plucked a blooming flower
For him twas earth's last breath
This flower of beauty here on earth
Now blooms on heaven's shore
His life of love and radiance here
Now shines forevermore
Though we with saddened hearts do grieve
Our tears so freely flow
It should not be-for he lives on
His beauty still aglow
His presence still is with us;
His memory lingers on.
Though absent for a little while
We'll meet again-come dawn..

The Day God Called You Home

God looked around His garden,

And He found an empty place.

He then looked down upon the earth,

And saw your tired and weary face.

He put His arms around you,

And lifted you to rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful,

He always takes the best.

He knew you were suffering.

He knew you were in pain.

He knew that you would never

Be well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb.

Then He closed your weary eyelids

So you could rest in peace divine.

It broke our hearts to lose you.

But you did not go alone.

For part of us went with you,

The day that God called you home.
