~HEATHER~

                                                               FOR SUSAN

I hear that one day

You became very ill

But you are a fighter

And have a strong will.

So you beat back the

illness And to all who

listen I say preach

You have a gift

And are able to teach.

You took your daughter

Under your wing

And taught her what

you know And did

your thing. You also

teach kindergarten

Ah what a treat

The young minds and

sweet faces  Ready to

learn oh so sweet.

To relax and unwind

You don't watch TV

or eat junk-O *G*

But go and play yourself

A good game of bunko

With the church ladies

no less What a picture

that does cast I'll bet

when you go You have

 a blast. Your mother

tells me You're a nice

 daughter and mother

But from Heather

I would expect no other

I offered a gift

Do rhyme to present

So I did my best and my

mind I have lent. Christmas

is about The season of

giving And for you I

write this is what keeps

me living

Happy Holidays

FOR KATIE

Katie I heard

From a small little bird

That you love animals

Well I do too

I feed my birds

Just to hear them sing

And then come the deer

At my feeder they do their

thing

But this one's for you

I write as a gift

And hopefully this

Will give you a lift

You sing like a diva

For which I admire

I heard that you sing

With your church choir

Now you are entering

The hardest time to be seen

You're now a teenager

Having just turned 13

I am like Peter Pan

And don't want to grow up

But I'm already there

No longer a pup

But I hear you like Tink

She's the best of the bunch

So tiny and little

Like you I guess on a hunch

This little blue bird

Told me it is so cool

That you're a good student

And do well in school

Now I heard you asked Santa

For an I-Pod to hear

 Whatever you get this Christmas

Remember, it is the thought dear

And last but not least

You want a kitten

I'll pass the word on

And hope Santa will listen

Now I'm just a girl

Who has a big heart

And always try

To hold up my part

Can't promise anything

But took this time

To wish you a Merry Christmas

And write you this rhyme

While at 13 it is hard

Take a look what you've got

And I'll be this Christmas spirit

It will hit the spot!

Happy Holidays honey
